SKIN REJUVENATION

What is IPL?
Intense pulsed light systems are exceptionally effective in treating pigmented lesions and diffused redness. The visible light delivered by the IPL is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots or redness in your skin. The treatment is sometimes referred to as photo rejuvenation.

What areas can be treated?
Skin Rejuvenation Before & After
Wrinkle Removal Therapy Before & After

You can treat any area of the body with sunspots, freckles, and or redness. The most popular areas are the face, chest, shoulders, arms, and hands because they have suffered from the most sun exposure.

What does it feel like?
When the hand piece is placed on your skin, it will feel cold and comfortable. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief stinging sensation. Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight redenning of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, darkened spots will fade or flake off.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, three to five treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results. Additional treatments may be required for very large dark spots or for density covered areas.

When will I see results?
Most patients find the majority of their treated spots have shown significant improvement within two to three weeks of treatment. However, your final result may not be apparent for several months.

What laser systems do you use?
We use the LP560, and the AccuTip 500. They are both the latest technology in photo rejuvenation laser systems. The LP 560 is used in larger areas needed to be treated, and the AccuTip 500 is used for small areas needed to be treated.
